Dr. Diva is the Medical Director at VCA Old Canal Animal Hospital in Plainville, Connecticut. She is originally from Newington, CT and has wanted to be a veterinarian all her life! She attended local private schools, Mooreland Hill School and Miss Porter’s School, before beginning on her cross-country journey to become a veterinarian! Dr. Diva believes in listening to your heart in the pursuit of your dreams!
Her adventure first led her to North Dakota, where she spent four years earning her undergraduate degree at North Dakota State University. That’s right – that’s the same school Carson Wentz (Philadelphia Eagles quarterback) attended! Dr. Green has very fond memories of living in Fargo, ND and returns to visit often. Go Bison!
Her adventures then led her to Southern California where she spent four years attending veterinary school at Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine! Dr. Green loved the endless sunshine and beach days in the “winter”, but missed New England fall days very much.
Upon graduation, Dr. Green began her career as a mixed animal practitioner in New Hampshire before deciding it was finally time to return home! She comes to VCA Old Canal Animal Hospital as a Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist and with an eager attitude to help the animals of her home state! Don’t miss out on a chance to ask her about acupuncture and cold laser therapy – she loves talking about it!
In her spare time, Dr. Green enjoys spending time with her very large family (she has 21 cousins!), traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. She has two trouble-making cats, Simon and Elliott. She also has a beloved Vizsla puppy named Vienna! Dr. Green and her husband are both scuba certified and enjoy diving whenever they have the chance!
Dr. Green’s professional affiliations include the American Veterinary Medical Association and American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association.
